International Relations College Set up in Fudan University

The Fudan University, one of the best universities in China, declared Tuesday the founding of the College of International Relations and Public Affairs.

Meanwhile, the university also set up the Academy of International Issues.

Professor Ni Shixiong, college dean, said that the establishment of the college and academy represents a major drive of the university to enhance foreign policy study and to help the country to cope with dual tasks in optimizing domestic political system and innovation of public policies.

Fudan University has been academically strong on international studies. The new college combined about eight former research centers that focused on different disciplines involving international politics, study of the United States, Japan, Russia and east Europe, and Latin America.
