HK, Mainland Police Hold Bilateral Meeting

The second round of the Annual Bilateral Meeting 2000 between the Hong Kong Police and the public security departments of the mainland concluded Thursday, November 30.

Both sides exchanged information on the law and order situations of the mainland and Hong Kong, and the cooperation and liaison regarding police issues.

Besides, the progress in combating cross-boundary crimes, including dangerous drugs and commercial crimes, boundary policing and police training programs was thoroughly discussed at the meeting.

Both sides shared views on the direction of future cooperation, and agreed to strengthen the exchange of intelligence on criminal cases in cooperation and training.
