Two-Bus Collision Kills 14, Injures 60

Fourteen people were killed and 60 injured when two buses collided head-on Monday morning, South African police said.

A bus full of passengers was attempting to overtake another vehicle when it collided with an empty bus, inspector Olga Ballot said. The driver of the full bus, headed for Pretoria, was killed and the other driver seriously injured.

The accident happened near Middelburg, 140 kilometers (90 miles) east of Pretoria.
