Four Nanchang Bank Robbery Suspects Caught Monday

Police has captured four suspects involved in a bank robbery at a southern Chinese city on Monday.

The four, Hua Min, Hu Guanghua, Wu Zhaojun and Zheng Guoxiong, were caught by the local Nanchang police in the early hours of Monday, Xinhua said. Police also confiscated two hunting rifles, some 30 bullets and others tools used for robbery.

In the afternoon on November 11, 2000, four masked robbers stormed into a local bank outlet of the Nanchang Agriculture Bank, killing two cutomers and fleeing with 500,000 yuan (US$60,000) in a robbed taxi. Earlier, they killed the cab driver.

Police said the four suspects, all Nanchang unemployed citizens, had confessed their crime.

Preliminary examination has found that the armed gang consists 6 people. Police are now searching for the two missing suspects.
