FM Spokesman on Iraq's Remarks on Kuwait

The independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kuwait should be respected by the international community, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Zhu Bangzao said Friday.

China's stance on the issue of Kuwait, an independent sovereign state, is consistent and clear, Zhu said, who was answering a reporter's question concerning recent remarks made by Iraqi officials that Kuwait is an inalienable part of Iraq.
