Senior PLA Officer Meets US Guests
Xiong Guangkai, deputy chief of General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) met Thursday with Michael Carns, former vice chief of staff of the US Air Force.
Xiong said China-US relations are very important and China attaches importance to developing ties between the two armies. A stable and healthy China-US relationship conforms to the fundamental interests of the two peoples as well as the peace, stability and development of the Asia Pacific region and the world, he added.
Carns is here leading a Capstone delegation from the US National Defense University.
