Quake Jolts Bali, Indonesia
An earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter Scale jolted Bali, Indonesia, on Friday afternoon.
Accordint to Drs. I Putu Pudja, chief of the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency in Denpasar, capital of Bali, the earthquake ccurred at 13:59 local time (05:59 GMT). The quake lasted one minute.
The epicenter of the quake was located at 525 kilometers beneath the Bali Sea, he added.
There were no immediate reports of serious damage or casualties.
On February 14, an earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter Scale jolted Bengkulu in the Sumatra island.
