Green Consumption Hot Among Shanghai Women

Women in Shanghai are learning more about green consumption in order to embrace this year's International Consumers' Day.

Sources said that various activities have been organized to provide local women with answers to questions such as how to identify environmentally friendly foods and why use phosphor-free washing powder.

"We are doing everything to lead Shanghai women, who usually have the final say in family purchases, to realize the importance of green consumption," said Xu Peili, vice chairwoman of Shanghai Women's Federation.

According to Xu, experts will tour communities to provide information on family consumption. Meanwhile, pamphlets pertaining to green consumption will be delivered to households.

People can also log in www.okwomen.com.cn to check out information concerning green consumption.
