Chinese Vice Premier Meets HK Delegation

Chinese Vice Premier Li Lanqing Thursday met with a Hong Kong delegation headed by C.C.Tung, chairman of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce.

Members of the delegation come from the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, Chinese General Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong,Chinese Manufacturers Association of Hong Kong, and the Federation of Hong Kong Industries.

Li expressed his appreciation for the long-term efforts made by the four business institutions in promoting economic cooperation between Hong Kong and the interior areas of China.

He also expressed the hope that the industrial and commercial sectors in Hong Kong and the interior areas of China would increase cooperation to achieve common prosperity and development.

The delegation is here to attend a joint conference for the chambers of commerce from China's interior and Hong Kong.
