Japan Should Have Correct Conception of Past History: Vietnamese Spokeswoman

Vietnam holds that Japan should have the correct conception of the past history, said a Vietnamese spokeswoman.

At the regular press conference here on Thursday, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Phan Thuy Thanh made the remarks in response to a question on Vietnam's reaction to the outcome of the Japanese government's screening of the history textbook for middle school for 2002.

This would have great significance in contributing to further developing, friendly and cooperative relation with neighbor countries and the countries in the region for the peace, stability and development, Thanh added.

Japanese government has just approved the textbook which beautifies the aggression of the Japanese militarists against Asian neighbor countries in the second world war.
