Lao Deputy Prime Minister to Visit China

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Somsawat Lengsavad of the Lao People's Democratic Republic will pay an official visit to China from April 16 to 24 and attend the activities commemorating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Sun Yuxi made the announcement at the regular press conference Tuesday.
