On-line Medical Service Set up in East China

China launched its first hospital consultation network which provides on-line medical services through Internet Wednesday in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu Province.

Chinese across the country can access the network for medical information from major hospitals at home and abroad.

The network will provide diagnostic consultation, material on treatment for illnesses, long-distance medical supervision, medical training programs, a scientific database of medical information, software rental information and electronic-business.

Over 4,000 medical professionals and experts attended the launching ceremony, a part of the ongoing 45th China Exposition on Medical Equipment and Instruments.
