First Huizhou International Digit Festival Inaugurated

The grand opening ceremony of the 1st Huizhou International Digit Festival which would last for five days was held on Monday morning in Huizhou of south China's Guangdong Province. Present at the festival are over 2000 Chinese and foreign guests and merchants.

A Sino-foreign expedition announced that dolines found in Leye County of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region are the largest group of their kind in the world.  

Old Tyres to Be Reused

Tianjin Meili Rubber Powder Company had foundation stone laid in Tanggu Hi-tech Zone April 16. Advanced technologies will be introduced with the company for recycle and disposal of old scrapped tyres by extracting fine powder from rubber, filling in the gap that China has fallen short of disposal record in black pollution.

Largest Group of Dolines Discovered in South China

A large area of primitive forest has been found at the bottom of "Dashiwei" Doline, which is inhabited by more than 1,000 varieties of plants, including many rare and precious species, and some smaller creatures, such as blind fish, crabs, shrimp, and flying squirrels.
