Yunan Introduces Tours with Ethnic Customs across Sino-Vietnamese Border

Honghe Prefecture in the soutern part of southwest China's Yunan Province has introduced tours featuring ethnic customs across the Sino-Vietnamese border.

The Tourism Department of Honghe Prefecture has introduced five travel routes for Chinese and overseas tourists.

Included are the route from Kunming to Hai-phong via Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam and Ha Long, Vinh, the Kunming -Jianshui �C

Mengzi �C Hekou �C Vietnam route, and the route from Kunming to Dien Bien Phu of Vietnam via Gejiu and Jinping.

Along these routes, tourists can appreciate the picturesque and magnificent natural scenery in Honghe, unsophisticated customs of ethnic minorities, as well as the mysterious scenery along Sino-Vietnamese border.

In recent years, Honghe's tourism has developed rapidly. During the 9th Five-Years Plan period, the prefecture received nearly nine million visitors, with a total revenue of 3.5 billion yuan, rising at an average annual rate of 27 percent.
