Newspaper Supports Beijing's Bid for 2008 Olympics
Beijing Star Daily gave 191 model citizens in the Chinese capital awards on Sunday for supporting the city's bid for hosting 2008 Olympic Games.
The group was honored for their good manner and good deeds in daily life.
It is also a promotion endeavor to mark the newspaper's 100th issue.
The newspaper also urged 10 shopping malls, 118 entertainment venues and a bus company to provide favorable service to their customers.
Beijing Star Daily, formerly the Theater and Film News, has a daily circulation of 180,000.
