Special Envelop Introduced for Reporting Offenders

The police in Dalian, a scenic and fast-developing coastal city in northeast China's Liaoning Province, have introduced a special envelop to encourage and better protect local people who dare to inform against corrupt officials and offenders.

To use the envelop, informer has to fill in two seven-digit codes, ranging from 0 to 9, and the two codes must be the same. The informer should keep one of codes when he sends the letter to the police via a special mail box.

The police will publish regularly the codes of the informers and then they can get their bonus from specially-designated post offices with the codes they keep.

The police believe this measure will benefit the current campaign to crack down on criminals and protect and award informers.
