China Telecom, Railway Communication Join hands

China Railway Communication Co. Ltd (CRC) Tuesday signed a framework agreement with China's No.1 fixed telecom operator, China Telecom, to cooperate in a series of fields, ranging from utilization of network resources to exchanges and personnel training.

An official from the China Telecom promised that his company will provide fair inter-network access services to the CRC.

Information technology experts noted that the agreement will pave the way for the future development of CRC, a new telecom operator set up late last year. The CRC now has fixed line permit from the government and its network covers areas along the railways.

Another fixed line operator, China Unicom, signed a similar agreement with China Telecom in March this year.
