Postcards Issued in Support of Beijing's Olympic Bid

Guilin, a southern Chinese city famous for its picturesque rocks and water, issued over the weekend a set of postcards in support of Beijing's bid to host the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.

The five-piece postcards showcase the clean and beautiful environment and landscape in rural Guilin with a place reserved on each postcard for purchasers to put down words expressing their best wishes for Beijing's bid.

The purchasers are invited to write down their best wishes and send them to the address printed on it for a contest which will select the 100 best wishes from the cards received.

Organizers of the contest will then present the top 100 wishes to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Bidding Committee in a show of support.

The host city for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games will be selected from several cities, including Beijing, and announced in mid-July at an International Olympic Committee meeting in Moscow.
