Shanghai Post Offices Extend Service Hours

Post offices in Shanghai will extend their daily service time from the previous eight hours to 10 to 14 hours, starting July 1.

According to a decision by the municipal post authority, all the post offices in the urban proper area will be open 12 hours a day.

Post offices in Nanjing road and other major shopping centers, as well as in railway stations, airports and wharves will be in service for 14 hours a day.

The authority is also considering 24 hour services for post offices on the busiest streets, official sources said.
