Larus Ichthyaetus Found in Tibet

Over 50,000 60cm-long black-headed larus ichthyaetus were found by scientists on July 5. These birds are living on an island of Nagqu Prefecture in Northern Tibet Plateau, Tibet Autonomous Region! This important discovery makes the island a larus ichthyaetus habitat with the largest number and at the highest elevation in China, thus proving Tibet to be one of the habitats of larus ichthyaetus.Photo shows two adult larus ichthyaetus and a nestling larus ichthyaetus.

2001 NSR China Model Competition

July 5 saw a news conference on 2001 New Silk Road (NSR) China Model Competition held in Beijing. Among nearly 10,000 competitors signed up for this competition are high school students and postgraduates, the average age of women is 17.8 and men 23.4 respectively. Sino-US Teachers and Pupils Meet in Fuzhou
