It has been a common view of the Chinese that the rapid economic development, political stability, unity among various ethnic groups, social progress, improved living and working conditions and growing comprehensive national strength in China provide a firm foundation for Beijing to hit the goal.

It is also the result of China's great achievements in promoting physical culture and sports and in carrying forward the Olympic spirit.

Beijing hosting the Games will not only boost the development of the Chinese economy, but also provide an opportunity to make China better known to the outside world, he said.

In Tibet, a group of college students from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and Jiangsu Province who are on a tour of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, are in the same view that Beijing has won the bidding and is bound to host a great Games.
