International Contemporary Colored Glaze Exhibition

Over 200 pieces of art made of glass by 70 artists from 20 countries will be on display as of July 27 when an international contemporary colored glaze exhibition starts.

"We not only have enormous works weighing several tons, but also miniature ones that can be seen clearly only by being magnified. All these attractions are gifts due to the success of Beijing's bid for the Olympics," said Zhang Yu, president of China International Exhibition Agency (CIEA).

The event organizers , including CIEA, aim to promote the modern development of the glaze as an art medium, since China has a long history of manufacturing it.
