China Issues Stamps Featuring Famed Waterfall

The State Post Bureau and provincial government of Guizhou, a famous inland scenic region in southwest China, jointly announced the issuance of a set of souvenir stamps Sunday featuring the renowned Huangguoshu waterfalls in the province.

The sheet of stamps includes Huangguoshu waterfall and three stamps highlighting other small waterfalls in the area.

Guizhou has long been known for its spectacular karst landscapes and Huangguoshu, China's most breathtaking waterfall.

The stamps, which are of high collectors' value, are expected to spread awareness of the local natural resources and thus promote the development of local tourism, said Wang Yuancheng, director of the provincial Post Bureau.
