Fujian to Build New Railway

The construction of a railway linking east China's Fujian Province with neighboring Jiangxi Province will be kicked off in the fourth quarter of this year, official sources said.

The railway line, to cost 6.03 billion yuan, will run 277 kilometers from Ganzhou in Jiangxi to the city of Longyan in Fujian. It will be the fourth rail line linking the province with other parts of the country.

The project headquarters has been formally set up in Longyan recently, while the requisition of land is already in full swing.
