Annette Lu's Dirty Psyche

When Chinese sons and daughters worldwide were excited by and proud of Beijing's success in its Olympic bid and when compatriots in Taiwan and on the mainland were elated and jointly celebrating this victory, Annette Lu uttered an extremely inharmonious tone, driveling that Taiwan should "feel both joy and worry" and "should not let the mainland's rejoicing over its success in the Olympic bid obscure our awareness of the the line between enemy and ourselves", and instigated the launching of "one person, one letter" campaign, and "reminded the CPC of its due responsibility for peace";

The mainland is enjoying social stability, rapid economic growth and an ever-higher international status, the Taiwan people, as our flesh and blood, naturally rejoice at all these, Annette Lu, however, with her sinister psychology, censured the Taiwan people for one-sidedly eulogizing the CPC and for a time "reporting only the good news and not the bad" about the mainland;

After Taiwan's new leader took office, the province experienced political tumult and economic recession, Annette Lu, instead of examining her own responsibility, unreasonably blamed the Taiwan people for "reporting only bad news and not good one" about Taiwan, and frequently censured the DPP authorities for their administrative behavior, saying such an attitude is very incorrect";

The tremendous market and unlimited commercial opportunities of the mainland are attracting more and more Taiwan businesspeople to invest in the mainland, the cross-Strait economic and trade exchange and cooperation featuring mutual complementation and mutual benefit are in the ascendant, Annette Lu sensationally spread the rumor that "the mainland is by no means a paradise for investment, where there are full of traps everywhere";

The "one country, two systems" principle is receiving increasing concern, recognition and support from the various circles in the Island, the rate of Taiwan people's support of the "one country, two systems" principle is rising gradually, Annette Lu, however, professed that Taiwan "should not act like 'a moth flying into the fire', failing to know that it is in a dangerous position".

Her fallacious remarks reflect Lu's mind of hostility toward and fear of the rising public support for the "one country, two systems" principle and Beijing's success in its Olympic bid, and lay bare this diehard "Taiwan independence" element's vicious intention to deceive public opinion, spread rumors to hoodwink the people and sow dissension in the relationship between the Taiwan people and the mainland in an attempt to divert people's attention and seek self-protection.

These absurd statements spread by Annette Lu are nothing queer in so far as this diehard "Taiwan independence" element is concerned, nor are they strange to the compatriots between the two sides of the Straits. Whenever cross-Strait relations are advancing forward and compatriots on both sides of the Straits are expecting an early reunification of the country and are exerting themselves for this purpose, Annette Lu invariably jumped out in haste to put on clumsy performances: she counted the records but forgot the ancestors, disavowing that she is a Chinese, professing "your China", "our Taiwan", "you Chinese" and "we Taiwanese"; she preaches the fallacy that "Taiwan is a sovereign independent country", prating that the relationship between Taiwan and the mainland is one "between distant relatives and next-door neighbors"; she went to Japan to make traitorous statements, saying that "under the Treaty of Shimonoseki with Japan in April 1895, the cession of Taiwan to Japan was great luck for the Taiwanese and fortunately Taiwan was ceded to Japan", her fallacious statements greatly hurt the national feeling of all Chinese sons and daughters at home and abroad.

Sima Zhao's trick is obvious to every one in the street-the villain's design is obvious. Lu's past and recent absurd remarks bring to light her despicable mindset and sinister aim and enable people to see more clearly the true features of this diehard "Taiwan independence" element. Ignoring the fundamental interests and wellbeing of the Taiwan people, she undermines the cross-Strait relations and obstructs peaceful reunification, in a vain attempt to achieve her plot to "peacefully advance toward the independence for Taiwan". She unsrupulously spread various absurd statements, then how can she allow the 23 million Taiwan people to live in peace and bring peace to Taiwan?

Annette Lu's obstinate stand and fallacious remarks cannot restrain the Taiwan people's desire for stability and development, nor can she stop the rolling tide of the hope of the compatriots between the two sides of the Strait for an early realization of the reunification of the motherland.
