Chinese Tourists to Philippines Warned

Chinese travellers are being warned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be careful while visiting the Philippines because of fears about terrorism.

The Filipino Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a report suggesting travellers from China choose their travel agencies carefully and ensure they have good safety records.

The Filipino ministry said terrorist actions are currently rampant in some parts of the archipelago nation.

The Chinese ministry suggested Chinese citizens report to Philippine police or the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines if difficulties arise.
