China Cracked Down 159,000 Drug Trafficking Cases First Half of This Year

The first half of this year saw the related police departments ferret out some 159,000 criminal cases on drug trafficking, an increase of 32.6 percent over the same period of last year.

According to statistics, some 165,000 drug-traffickers have been arrested. And also captured were 6201.237 kg of heroin, 1927.1 kg of opium, 2969.9 kg of methamphetamine, 640,000 dancing outreaches, 14,000 capsules of dolantin, 80.2 kg of caffeine, 40.1 tons of poppy pods and other 72.1 tons of chemicals liable to be used for making drugs.

Since the beginning of this year, police departments all over China strengthened attacks on drug traffickers, 277 cases on selling dancing outreaches and 17 cases of methamphetamine have been successfully discovered through elaborate investigation.
