CBD Festivals Open in Beijing, Shenyang Cities
2nd Beijing Chaoyang CBD Festival Opens in Beijing
The four-day Second Beijing Chaoyang CBD Festival opened in Beijing, the Chinese capital Wednesday.
Present at the opening ceremony were Jia Qinglin, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and secretary of Beijing's Municipal CPC Committee, He Luli, a vice chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Wan Guoquan, a vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Mayor Liu Qi.
Beijing's CBD (Central Business District) is located in the eastern district of Chaoyang covering four sq.km.. So far, over 120 of the world's top 500 companies have opened businesses in the CBD.
A number of large business buildings and modern residential compounds will be built in the CBD in the coming few years.
Coincidentally, a similar festival was held in the Shenhe District of Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province on the same day. The local government plans to build its own CBD, in order to turn it into a modern metropolis in northeast China.
