International Auto Industry Fair in Central China

Central China's Hubei Province announced that it would hold an international auto industry fair in Wuhan, capital of the province, from October 16-19.

Organizers say that platforms with an area of 20,000 square meters will be available for participating businessmen to exhibit their latest auto products at the fair, the fourth of its kind.

Automobile makers from China, the Republic of Korea, Belgium and France have applied to attend the fair, according to the organizers.

During the fair, a number of activities, including forums, trade talks, and a show to demonstrate stunts in driving, a contest of automobile models will also be organized.

The fair will be sponsored by both governments of Hubei Province and Wuhan City.

Hubei is one of China's major automobile production bases and its auto industry has fixed assets totaling 15.2 billion yuan and employs 280,000 people.
