China Holds Fourth Industrial Minerals Convention

The Fourth China Industrial Minerals Convention opened Thursday in Qingdao, a coastal city in east China's Shandong Province.

As many as 350 representatives, including about 90 foreign businessmen and experts, are attending this two-day event.

With the theme of "development of the industrial minerals market in China and East Asia," the convention aims to further provide Chinese enterprises and academic institutions with updated international information in this field.

A series of topics will be discussed at the meeting, including China's investment environment and the export of minerals, influences caused by China's entry into the World Trade Organization, and technical and environmental problems in mineral exploitation.
