Persimmon Harvest in Yaozu Autonomous County

A businessman from Guangdong Province is selecting persimmon in Yaozu Autonomous County in Gongcheng of Guangxi Province. The county sees a harvest of persimmon this year, with the output of seven tons per month. Peasants sell persimmon to South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Macao and other area.

Foreign Artists Performed at Beijing Folk Theater

Artists from South Korea are presenting a fan dance at Beijing Folk Theater on October 27 during the ongoing 5th International Folk Arts Festival. The festival opens on October 13 and will last for 14 days. A total of 19 troupes with more than 400 artists from China and 17 other countries and regions attend the festival.

NPC Standing Committee 24th Meeting Concludes

The Standing Committee of China 's Ninth National People's Congress (NPC), the country's top legislative body, concluded its 24th meeting at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on October 27.  

8th Wuqiao International Acrobatics Festival Opens

The 8th China Wuqiao International Circus Festival (CWICF) opened today in Shijiazhuang, capital of north China's Hebei Province, bringing to the stage acrobatics and magic performance artists around the world. Some 25 acrobatics performances and 12 magic shows are on the schedule of events. Artists participating are from 11 countries and regions including Russia, the United States, Italy, France, Sweden, and Germany.
