PLA Navy Fleet Makes First Portcall to Hong Kong

The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) navy task group, composed of guided missile destroyer Shenzhen and multi-purpose replenishment ship Fengcang, arrived in Hong Kong Saturday morning for a three-day portcall. 

CPPCC Chairman Leaves for Three Countries

Chinese Sturgeons Released into River

A Chinese sturgeon is released into river at the mouth of the Jiulong River in Xianmen in southeast China's Fujian Province Saturday November 10, 2001. About 3,000 young Chinese sturgeons, each measuring about 50-75 cm in length and weighing more than 1 kg, were released by the Xiamen breeding base of Chinese sturgeons to protect the endangered migratory species.
