For Li Na, 1999 was her first bumper year. She won the championships in the synchronized diving event (with Sang Xue)at the 5th stage and in the Grand Final of the World Cup International Grand Prix Diving Tournament . At the Sydney World Cup diving tournament in 2000, she won the golds both in the platform and synchronized diving (with Sang Xue). She has thus proved herself to be a diver of great promise.
