Wan Guoquan, Vice-Chairman of Ninth CPPCC National Committee

Wan, male; born March, 1919; a native of Nong'an, Jilin Province; member of China Democratic National Construction Association (CDNCA); graduated from Zhonghua University in Chongqing.

Served as chairman of Hedong District Federation of Industry and Commerce in Tianjin City between 1957 and 1963; secretary-general of Tianjin Federation of Industry and Commerce from 1964 to 1977.

Served as Standing Committee member of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and vice-chairman of Tianjin Federation of Industry and Commerce from 1977 to 1983.

Served as vice-chairman and executive vice-chairman of CDNCA Central Committee from 1983 to 1997.

Serving as vice-chairman of CPPCC National Committee since 1994; president of China Council for Promotion of Peaceful Reunification since 1993; vice-chairman of Chinese Association for International Understanding since 1994; honorary vice-chairman of CDNCA Central Committee since 1997.

Member of Fifth CPPCC National Committee and Standing Committee member of Sixth and Seventh CPPCC National Committees; elected vice-chairman of CPPCC National Committee during Second Session of Eighth CPPCC National Committee.
