Zhou Tienong, Vice-Chairman of CPPCC Ninth National Committee

Zhou, born November 1938; native of Shenyang, Liaoning Province.

Graduated from Mathematical Mechanics Department of Beijing University in 1960 and then taught at Northeast China Heavy Machinery University till 1983.

Was vice-mayor of Qiqihar City of Heilongjiang City from 1983 to 1991, assistant to governor of Heilongjiang from April to October 1991, and vice-governor of Heilongjiang from 1991 to January 1998.

Has been chairman of Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of Revolutionary Committee of Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK) since 1991, and vice-chairman of RCCK Central Committee since 1992.

Zhou Tienong was member of CPPCC Seventh National Committee and Standing Committee member of CPPCC Eighth National Committee.
