Chinese President Jiang
Zemin met Sunday afternoon with Tung Chee Hwa, chief executive of the Hong Kong
Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
Jiang said he was satisfied with the successful implementation of the "one country,
two systems" principle in Hong Kong since Hong Kong's return to the motherland five
years ago.
He said the Central Government will always give full support and assistance to Hong Kong
to maintain Hong Kong's prosperity andstability in accordance with the principle.
