A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman on Monday expressed condolences to victims in the violent attack at the Jinnah International Airport in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi.

Spokeswoman Hua Chunying told the ministry's regular press briefing that China is shocked by the attack.

China strongly condemns the attack and conveys sympathy to the victims' families as well as those injured, she said, adding that China hopes the injured will recover soon.

China supports Pakistan's anti-terror strategy, Hua said.
