KIEV, July 22  -- A train carrying the remains of victims from crashed Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 on Tuesday arrived in the government-controlled city of Kharkiv from the site in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine, the Interfax news agency reported.

The train pulled up at a railway station in the city where its locomotive engine will be replaced, the report said.

It will then roll into an arms industry plant in Kharkiv where the bodies are expected to be transferred to special containers provided by the Netherlands.

The train, which consists of five refrigerator carriages and one ordinary passenger carriage, departed from Donetsk on Monday night.

Western media have reported that a Dutch military transport plane has already arrived in Kharkiv to collect the bodies and transport them to the Netherlands.

MH17, a Boeing 777-200 en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was downed near Donetsk on Thursday, killing all 298 people on board. Among the victims, 193 were Dutch.
