The Great Tang Xishi Cultural Industry Investment Group and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) jointly signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in establishing the Silk Road Cultural Center in Xi'an.

The two sides agreed that the former would make investments toward the establishment of the said facility in Xi'an with the aim of providing a formal platform by which the latter may engage in cultural exchanges and cooperation. The latter will offer guidance on how the project will be carried out, and after the center is built, will assist the former in organizing cultural exchanges and other activities attended by countries and regions along the Silk Road.
