JAKARTA, Nov. 15 -- An earthquake with magnitude of 6. 3 hits eastern Indonesia on Saturday morning, soon after the 7.3- magnitude shallow undersea quake, which is potential for tsunami, an official of the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said.
The quake occurred at 10:08 a.m. Jakarta time (0308 GMT), only about half an hour after the first one, Jerisman, official of the agency told Xinhua by phone.
The epicenter of the quake was at 93 km southeast Bolaang Mongondow of North Sulawesi province bordered with North Maluku province, said Jerisman.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the epicenter, with a depth of 35.0 km, was initially determined to be at 0.1583 degrees south latitude and 123.9661 degrees east longitude.
Jerisman said it may be affected by the first quake.
