Safe Production Stressed
New Standard to Curb Increase of Workplace Injuries, Diseases

A new national standard for occupational health and safety management systems is to be implemented at the beginning of next year in a bid to curb the increase in workplace injuries and occupational diseases. The new standard will be effective in making enterprises aware of health and safety and maintaining their awareness, said Shi Baoquan, deputy administrator of the State Administration for Standardization.

China Vigorous on Work Safety: Report
The State Administration of Work Safety Supervision (SAWSS), the country's top watchdog on production safety, issued a circular Friday requiring authorities concerned to put on-the-job safety on the top of their working agenda.
 


Strong Measures Called for to Ensure Safe Production: Official
China will impose tight safety measures in coal mines, fireworks plants, road transportation, chemical products transportation, and in public places in the second half of this year to guarantee safe production, according to an official from the State Administration for Safe Production Supervision.
 


China Tight on Safe Production
The State Council, China's cabinet, has dispatched 11 work groups to inspect safe production throughout the country.
 


China to Further Enhance Water Traffic Safety
China's Ministry of Communications on Tuesday said that it will continue to devote this year to water traffic safety promotion work.
