China's fast economic development over the past years has been remarkable and aroused worldwide attention. But it is based on high input, high energy consumption and low output. Thus the central government has decided to pursue a new mode of economic growth mainly relying on innovation and developing a circular economy and establish resource-efficient society.
To balance economic and social development, scientifically deal with relations between development and environment protection, especially in air, water and soil will remain a long-term task for every Chinese from government, business to non-governmental organizations. |
