Hua, born in the United States in 1999, touched down in China for the first time Thursday at 5:15 pm. But she is expected to soon continue her journey by being flown to her new home in the Wolong Nature Reserve in Sichuan Province, where Li works with the China Giant Panda Protection and Research Centre. Hua's parents are Shi Shi and Bai Yun, a panda couple leased to the San Diego Zoo in California by China.  |  |
