Chinese Vice Premier Meets Dutch Guests

Chinese Vice Premier Wen Jiabao met Tuesday with the Minister of Defense for the Netherlands Frank De Grave and his party.

Chinese Vice Premier Wen Jiabao met Tuesday with the Minister of Defense for the Netherlands Frank De Grave and his party.

Wen says, in recent years, the Sino-Dutch relations have developed rapidly, featured by frequent exchange of visits by highofficials of the two nations and the growing bilateral cooperationin political and economic areas.

He says, China values its relations with the Netherlands and hopes to further promote Sino-Dutch relations with joint efforts in the new century.

Wen reaffirmed China's stance on the Taiwan issue and expressedhis appreciation for Netherlands's refusal to sell weapons to Taiwan and its insistence on the "One China" principle.

Grave congratulated China's entry into WTO and the successful Olympics bid. He hoped to further strengthen the friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two armed forces.
