China Appoints New Ambassadors

President Jiang Zemin Monday appointed and dismissed ambassadors to seven countries, in accordance with a decision made by the National Peoples Congress Standing Committee.

President Jiang Zemin Monday appointed and dismissed ambassadors to seven countries, in accordance with a decision made by the National Peoples Congress Standing Committee.

Wu Donghe was appointed the new ambassador to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, replacing Wang Guozhang.

Ma Canrong replaces Lu Qiutian as the ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.

Zhu Bangzao is now the ambassador to the Tunisian Republic and the ambassador to the State of Palestine, replacing Mu Wen.

Cang Youheng, ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, is replaced by Li Guoxue.

Liao Qiping, ambassador to the Republic of Cape Verde, gave his position to Hong Hong.

Xu Zhongkai is appointed ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, replacing Lin Zhenlong.

Zuo Furong, ambassador to the Republic of Albania, is replaced by Tian Changchun.
