Three Chinese were knifed to death in Phnom Penh January 16, which had raised concern about people's life security in Cambodia.

Local police said the killing happened near a busy market, where a father, a daughter and an unidentified pregnant woman were killed in daytime by a group of villains unknown in number. The three victims were all toy wholesalers from Chinese inland.

It had been confirmed that the father was named Wang Shimin, 49, and his daughter Wang Qingrong, 20. Now the police are still investigating into the murders' motive.

One of the victims' friends said he had witnessed six deaths of his friends in the past six months, and the killers have not been caught.

He added that Chinese people in the area were all worried about the security problem, which would affect investors' confidence if not properly solved.
