A Sino-British training program that aims to help Chinese police combat sexual harassment of women and children concluded Thursday in xi'an, ancient Chinese capital in northwestern Shaanxi Province.
The training program, co-sponsored by China's Ministry of Public Security and the British Embassy to China, focuses on how policemen can effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of women and children by fighting sexual harassment.
During the training, three senior detectives from Britain and two professors from the Chinese People's University of Public Security gave lectures, arranged simulations and shared their experience on the issue.
The training program, the first initiative to carry out Sino- British cooperation on public security affairs, has received support from the Beijing Office of the United Nations Children's Fund.
