Chinese Military Leader Meets Moroccan King

The Chinese Defense Minister Chi Haotian met with the visiting King Mohammed VI of Morocco in Beijing Wednesday.

The Chinese Defense Minister Chi Haotian met with the visiting King Mohammed VI of Morocco in Beijing Wednesday.

Chi, also vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission and a State Councilor, said the two nations have maintained a stable relationship since the establishment of diplomatic relations.

He said the Chinese government and its people value their traditional friendship with Morocco. The Chinese government will continue developing friendly and cooperative relations with Morocco in all areas.

In recent years, the relationship between the two armies has always been satisfactory. China has actively developed friendly relations with Morocco and hopes to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in all areas in the 21stcentury, Chi said.

Mohammed VI said," I hope to strengthen our military exchanges with China in order to promote comprehensive relations between the two nations."
