President Jiang Congratulates Tung on Winning Second Term

President Jiang Zemin Thursday has sent a congratulatory message to Tung Chee Hwa, incumbent chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), who has been re-elected uncontested in the SAR's second Chief Executive election.

Tung Chee Hwa Wins 2002 HKSAR Chief Executive Election
President Jiang Zemin Thursday has sent a congratulatory message to Tung Chee Hwa, incumbent chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), who has been re-elected uncontested in the SAR's second Chief Executive election.

President Jiang said that he believed the Hong Kong SAR will have an even more prosperous future with Tung's leadership and the joint efforts of the Hong Kong people.

Vice Premier Qian Qichen, who is accompanying President Jiang on his current visit to Vietnam also sent a letter of congratulation to Mr. Tung.
