Chinese Vice-Premier Meets Pakistani Minister of Communications and Railway
Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Bangguo Met Pakistani Minister of Communications and Railway Javed Ashraf Thursday afternoon in Islamabad. The Vice-Premier said that there had been very close cooperation in the field of communications between China and Pakistan, the Gwader Port project to be inaugurated on Friday was a new symbol of the Sino-Pakistani friendship in the new century.
Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Bangguo Met Pakistani Minister of Communications and Railway Javed Ashraf Thursday afternoon in Islamabad.
On the occasion, Javed Ashraf expressed warm welcome to Vice-Premier Wu Bangguo, who has specially come to Pakistan to attend the inaugural ceremony for the construction of the Gwader Port project.
He said that after its completion the Gwader Port would benefit and promote economic developments in its district and the whole country, and at the same time it would also serve economic developments in Afghanistan, Iran and other countries in the region.
Sino-Pakistani friendly cooperation
Ashraf was of the view that the inauguration of the Gwader Port project once again demonstrated the time-tested friendly ties of cooperation between Pakistan and China.
The Vice-Premier said that there had been very close cooperation in the field of communications between China and Pakistan, the Gwader Port project to be inaugurated on Friday was a new symbol of the Sino-Pakistani friendship in the new century.
He was confident that this important project would be surely completed on time with joint efforts from both countries.
Vice-Premier Wu Bangguo also met Pakistani Foreign Minister Abdul Sattar in the evening. Later, Abdul Sattar gave a dinner to welcome the Chinese Vice-Premier.
Vice-Premier Wu Bangguo arrived in Islamabad at the invitation of the Pakistani government to take part in the inaugural ceremony of the Gwader Port project.
